You'll be required to officially check in with a Y-Card student ID or government-issued photo ID; you should receive your Y-Card during orientation. Rooms are typically furnished with extra-long single beds, a chest of drawers and/or closet, a MicroFridge (combined microwave, refrigerator, freezer), desk, and desk chair - furniture setup varies by hall. Communicate your arrival plans to Housing & Residence Life in advance so they know when to expect you.

- Parking
- Parking is assigned by hall: the R92 lot (Madison Avenue) serves Lyden House, R3 and R4 lots serve Kilcawley House, the M2 lot serves Wick and Weller Houses, and the M90 lot (Elm Street) serves Cafaro House.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key and Y-Card (student ID), which provides door access to your assigned residence hall and your meal plan.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
