About FreshMoveIn

FreshMoveIn collects the move-in dates, housing details, orientation schedules and packing advice that families otherwise have to hunt for across dozens of school web pages, and puts them in one consistent format for every college we cover.

How it is run

FreshMoveIn is an independent, small-team project. It is run the way a data project should be: every date is tied to a school source, checked, and shown with the month it was checked.

Independent of every school

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or paid by any college or university. Schools do not review or approve their pages here. For anything that matters, such as your move-in appointment or housing assignment, always confirm with your school's housing office. Every school page links to the school's own site for that reason.

How we keep it accurate

Read how we find and verify information for the sources, the review step and what “dates last checked” means. If you spot something wrong, use the corrections page; housing and orientation staff are especially welcome to write.

How the site is funded

Some links on the Dorm Essentials and Recommended Reads pages are Amazon affiliate links. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change what a school page says.
