Resident Advisors lead mandatory floor meetings in all residence halls at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 24. Your move-in timeslot is your arrival time to your check-in location (typically a parking garage), not your actual residence hall - plan to arrive within 15 minutes on either side of your assigned time.

- Arrival window
- Your assigned check-in timeslot, released in the housing portal in late July - plan to arrive within 15 minutes before or after that time.
- Parking
- Move-in check-in happens through parking garages - after unloading, students with parking passes park in their designated location, while guests may park in the check-in garage.
- What you'll receive
- A personalized "Dash Pass," emailed the week of August 5, containing a QR code for check-in, your specific building and unloading location, and contact information for on-site staff.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Do not bring tall vehicles to check-in, such as U-Hauls or tall trucks - move-in check-in routes go through parking garages with height limits.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
