Move-in parking and check-in operate only on Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16 - residents checking in Monday, Aug. 17 or Tuesday, Aug. 18 instead use day parking permits and standard garages, without the same dedicated unloading process. You'll need your SJSU Tower ID card (completed in advance online) for building and meal-plan access.

- Arrival window
- Move-in parking and check-in are only available Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16 - residents arriving Monday or Tuesday instead use standard day parking, without a dedicated unloading process.
- Check-in location
- The Provident Credit Union Event Center (PCUEC) - park first, then walk to the Event Center to receive your unloading permit before proceeding to your building.
- Parking
- Park in the 7th Street (South) Garage, then walk to the Event Center to check in and receive your designated unloading permit - you won't be allowed into any unloading area without it. After unloading, relocate to the South, North, or West Garage (3rd floor or above) using a free virtual parking permit via the OffStreet app.
- What you'll receive
- Your unloading permit and, if purchased in advance, your academic-year parking permit, both issued at check-in in the Event Center.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Oversized vehicles may only unload at a specific off-campus lot (435 S. 10th St.), and only after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.

Orientation
