You'll be assigned one specific date within this window (communicated by early July) along with a check-in time (by early August) - travel plans should wait until you have this assignment. First-year students are not permitted to bring a car to campus during their first year.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time - your exact move-in date is shown above in the Overview.
- Parking
- On your assigned move-in day, proceed to Parking Lot 2, 7, 15, or 17 based on your building assignment - don't go directly to your building, since you'll be redirected to the correct lot.
- What you'll receive
- A mini-fridge with a freezer and microwave is already provided in every first-year room - you're not permitted to bring an additional one.
- Vehicle restrictions
- First-year students living on campus are not permitted to bring a car to campus during their first year of study.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
