The Naval War College is a federal graduate-level military college on Naval Station Newport, on Coasters Harbor Island in Narragansett Bay, established in 1884. Its students are mid-career and senior officers from the Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Army and Air Force, plus civilians of equivalent seniority and international officers. It is not a traditional undergraduate move-in school, and no student residence halls are described.
