Fall 2026 Move-In Details

Move-in arrival time tickets open in the Housing Portal on Monday, July 13 - select your specific day and time once your ticket opens. Around 4,200 students moved into KSU's residence halls during the 2026 Move-In. We kindly ask that students bring no more than 2-3 people to help them move in. Meal Plans become active August 19.

Parking
After Check-In, head to the Summit Unloading Zone in Lot A (in front of the Clendenin Building) - you'll receive a parking slip to place on your dashboard, with one hour to unload before moving your vehicle to the West Deck.
What you'll receive
A parking slip for the one-hour unloading zone; a moving bin is also available for checkout in Lot A, but the student must be present to check one out (a parent or supporter can't do this alone).

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
