Move-in day is often hot, hectic, and involves lines and waits - EMU's own housing page recommends getting rest and staying hydrated beforehand. Coordinate with your roommate in advance about who brings shared items (mini-fridge, microwave, etc.), since space is limited. Have your assignment information, Eagle OneCard (EMU ID), and E-number readily available - if you don't have your OneCard yet, bring another form of photo ID.

- Your room assignment confirmation, needed alongside your Eagle OneCard (EMU ID) or another form of photo ID to move in if your OneCard hasn't arrived yet.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
