"Beach Days" welcome-week programming runs August 21-23, immediately following move-in. Classes begin August 24. Room selection for the 2026-27 academic year takes place July 7-9, following roommate selection in June.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time - your exact move-in date is shown above in the Overview.
- Parking
- Park in general parking and leave your belongings in the car until you've checked in - after unloading, move your car to the back of the G1-10 parking lots or Beachside resident parking. Overnight parking is not permitted in Lots R1 or R2 during Move-In Days.
- What you'll receive
- Your room key and a special tap Campus ID (different from a non-resident student's) at your building's common area - you'll be greeted by your Resident Assistant and directed to your room.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.

Orientation
