Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Students return to campus Aug. 30, 2026 for the start of the academic year, and classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 2. A Drop N Go move-in option runs 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, with sign-ups open from July 24 to noon on Aug. 17. Residents keep their room key until they return Aug. 30. Early arrival before Aug. 30 needs an approved application and a $15 per day charge.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Drop N Go key pickup is in Parking Lot 2, off Prince Street between the Greenhill Center of the Arts and Laurentide Hall. Stay in your vehicle and use the drive-through line at the purple tent. The student must claim the key with a Hawkcard or driver's license; keys are not available in the residence hall.
- Parking
- Use the temporary unloading zone outside your hall (30 minute limit), then move your vehicle to the yellow residence hall lot near your building. No parking permit is needed during Drop N Go hours. Vehicles left overnight in residence hall lots need a permit, which can be bought online.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
