Move-In
Fall 2026 Move-In Details
New first-year and transfer students move in Saturday, Aug. 29, from 8 a.m. to noon. Your exact date and time are chosen during Pre-Check-In in the Housing Hub, which must be completed online before arrival. New international students arrive Aug. 25 or 26, and returning students move in Aug. 29 to 31. Bring your student ID card to check in.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Your check-in station is shown in the Housing Hub after Pre-Check-In and may not be in your own residence hall. Walk to the nearby building that has a station.
- Parking
- Park outside your assigned building when you arrive and do not unload yet. After you finish moving in, move your vehicle to a nearby housing parking lot so other residents can park near the building.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
