Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Summit and Forest Hall move-in is Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26. Appointment times depend on your floor and are emailed in early September. Friday slots run 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday slots run 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Complete the Housing Orientation before move-in and attend your floor's mandatory community meeting.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Check in at the Check-In Tent in the south campus surface lot with your photo ID ready. Do not drive to your residence hall until staff direct you there.
- Parking
- Parking is free on move-in day. Unload into carts at the Residential Village, with the driver staying with the car, then move your car to the West Garage right away. Use the stairs to return to your unit, since the elevator is reserved for carts and residents with specific needs.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
