Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Students will select a move-in time by early September - do not book travel before receiving your assigned move-in date and time. Volunteers help other students move in through "Unpack the Quack," University Housing's own move-in tradition. Week of Welcome (WOW) begins the same weekend with its first signature event, following move-in, running through the start of fall term classes on September 29.

Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- The primary residence hall move-in window is Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25; select your specific time slot by early September through University Housing.
- Check-in location
- Check in at your assigned residence hall; "Unpack the Quack" volunteers are stationed around campus to help direct and assist movers.
- What you'll receive
- Each room comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe or closet, dresser, desk, chair, and waste and recycling bins - already in place before you arrive.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
