Move-In
Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Check-in runs Friday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 23, with a morning block on Friday (8 AM to noon) for most halls and an afternoon block (noon to 5 PM) all three days. First-year students should aim to check in by 11:00 AM. Bring your UNK ID card; if you do not have one, pick it up at the ID Card Office in the Nebraskan Student Union before checking in.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Check in at your hall: the Antelope front desk for Antelope and Nester, Martin Hall for Martin and Armstrong, Mantor Hall for Mantor and Randall, or Centennial Towers East or West for their own residents.
- Parking
- Use the Unloading Zone, which has a 30-minute limit. Your family can unload while you check in, then move the vehicle out of the zone. Parking permits can be ordered online.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
