Bring your Cane Card. Centennial Village and Eaton Residential College first-year residents get Cruise Ship Move-In - staff carry belongings from your car to your room.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Move-in spans two days (Aug. 10-11 per the current-year housing calendar); arrive during your assigned time slot - early arrivals will be asked to return at their scheduled time.
- Check-in location
- Centralized check-in at the Lakeside Village Expo Center; students arriving after 6pm should report to the Ibis Residential College desk instead.
- Parking
- After unloading at Cruise Ship Move-In, follow directional signage to designated long-term parking areas on campus.
- What you'll receive
- Your Cane Card, housing assignment confirmation, a Cruise Ship Move-In pass, Cane Kickoff check-in materials, and a parking placard to display in your vehicle windshield.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Only one vehicle per student is permitted through Cruise Ship Move-In, and only one time; U-Haul type vehicles or moving trucks are not permitted.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
