The University of Guam, the first post-secondary institution established in the Pacific after Hawaii, sits on a bluff overlooking Pago Bay in Mangilao, with new Tritons moving into one of three co-ed residence halls each August, joining a community drawn from across Micronesia, including Guam, Rota, Tinian, Saipan, Palau, Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, and the Marshall Islands.

Guam's cost of living is genuinely high, and rental properties near campus are typically outside a college student's budget, making on-campus housing a popular option despite space being limited to 224 total residents. Complete the university's own required health clearance form as soon as possible after acceptance - registration for classes cannot be completed until this is on file. The Residence Halls are intentionally modest, not luxury accommodations, with shared kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry facilities on each floor.
