You'll be emailed your specific move-in appointment time in mid-July - log into the My Housing portal to view or change it (process closes August 13 at 5pm). Plan to unload within 15 minutes in the drop-and-go zone, then move any additional vehicle directly to long-term parking. Freshmen are required to live on campus. Bed lofts aren't permitted, though bed risers under 8 inches are allowed under an individual (not bunked) bed, as long as the mattress top doesn't exceed 5 feet from the ground.

Move-in day logistics
- Parking
- One small refrigerator (4.5 cubic feet or less) and one microwave (700 watts max) per bedroom is permitted - Campus Specialties Inc. offers a combined microfridge rental delivered directly to your room before arrival if you'd rather not bring your own.
- What you'll receive
- Your ONEcard (student ID), which controls access to your residence hall, dining, parking, the library, and the bookstore - upload your photo online in advance so your card is ready when you arrive.
- Vehicle restrictions
- Register any bicycle you bring with Parking Services for added safety.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
