Official move-in is Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, with a 30-minute slot between 8:30am and 1:30pm emailed on Aug. 14. A few same-day spots are prioritized for students living more than 100 miles away. Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Check-in is at a main lounge for Travers, Wolfe and ABE; Carlton and Pennington check in at the Hausdoerffer Hall main lounge; all other halls check in at the Eickhoff Hall lounge area listed on the move-in page.
- Parking
- For Drop and Go, pick up your key at the Brower Student Center and park in Lot 5, then drive to your building.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
