Fall 2026 Move-In Details

Move-in runs Friday, Aug. 14 through Sunday, Aug. 16, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents schedule an appointment in the Texas State Housing Portal. The guide does not separate first-year move-in dates from other residents.

Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.

Move-in day logistics

Arrival window
Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment time; early arrivals are sent to a holding lot.
Check-in location
All residents report first to UFCU Stadium, then go to their residence hall front desk and use a Bobcat Card to collect keys.
Parking
Up to two vehicles per student at UFCU Stadium, with 15 minutes in the unloading zone. Then move vehicles to campus parking; move-in shuttles run from the P9 and Mill Street lots.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
