Fall 2026 Move-In Details
New student move-in is Thursday, Aug. 13 and Friday, Aug. 14, starting at 9 a.m. On-campus students receive an email from University Housing and Residential Life explaining how to choose a move-in day and time and how to pick up residence hall keys. New on-campus students under 22 must show meningitis immunization proof to Health Services. The first day of classes is Aug. 20.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Pick up your residence hall key using the instructions in the email from University Housing and Residential Life.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
