Fall 2026 Move-In Details

First-year students move in Friday, Aug. 14 through Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, staggered by residence hall and floor between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Transfer and continuing students move in Aug. 17 and 18. Pack items in containers labeled with your name, hall and room number.

Move-in day logistics

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, staggered by residence hall and floor.
Check-in location
First-year students report to the Memorial Stadium entrance and receive a move-in folder and room condition sheet at the check-in tents.
Parking
Up to two vehicles per student through the move-in line. Do not park in fire lanes, handicap spaces without a permit, striped pathways or 24-hour reserved spaces.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
