Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Fall 2026 move-in runs Aug. 15 to 23, with a schedule by group. New students in Dobbins, LaFerla, Towers West and Vandiver check in the morning of Aug. 19. New students in Merick and Towers East, North and South check in Aug. 20 during a reserved 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. slot. Returning students follow on Aug. 19 afternoon and Aug. 18, and open check-in runs Aug. 21 to 23. Early arrival before official move-in is not permitted and may carry a nightly charge. Meningococcal vaccine records or an approved exemption must be on file with Residence Life by the first Friday of classes.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- New students check in at the Show Me Center during their assigned day, then pick up keys; later open check-in is at the Towers Complex.
- Parking
- Do not park in reserved spaces while unloading. After unloading, register your vehicle with Parking Services. No carts or dollies are provided, so bring your own if needed.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
