Fall 2026 Move-In Details

First-year move-in is Monday, Aug. 3 and Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residential students reserve a move-in time slot through the Housing Portal, which opened July 20, and must be financially cleared before check-in. Continuing students move in Aug. 6 and 7.

Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.

Move-in day logistics

Check-in location
Check in at your assigned residence hall with a valid government-issued photo ID. Hugine Suites residents pick up room keys at Hugine Suites Building A, then go to their assigned building.
Parking
At Earle, Battiste, Mitchell and Queens Village you have 15 minutes to unload, then move your vehicle to a designated parking area before bringing in the rest of your belongings. Follow directions from Housing staff, volunteers and University Police.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
