Seattle University is a private Jesuit Catholic university on the First Hill campus in Seattle, with a second residential site at South Lake Union. First-year and second-year students, and students under 21 who are within two years of high school graduation, are required to live on campus and buy at least the Residential Meal Plan. First-year housing includes Bellarmine, Campion and Xavier Global House on First Hill and The Commons at South Lake Union. New students move in on September 19 at First Hill or September 3 at South Lake Union, followed by the Fall Welcome program.

Seattle U is on the quarter system, so this is winter quarter move-in: residence halls open Jan. 2 for new student move-in and continuing student return. Winter Orientation is Jan. 4, and classes begin Jan. 5.

Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
