Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Aug. 17, 8 AM to 6 PM, or Aug. 18, 8 AM to 1 PM, in your chosen time slot.
- Check-in location
- Show your printed Move-In Dashboard Pass. Residence hall students check in at Lots G and H to get a key and RIT ID. RIT Inn residents check in at the front desk. Late arrivals report to the Housing office in Grace Watson Hall.
- Parking
- First-year students may park only in Lot B and must register for a virtual permit. One vehicle per student.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
