Nova Southeastern University's flagship 314-acre Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus, formed by a 1994 merger of Nova University and Southeastern University of the Health Sciences, is anchored by the Alvin Sherman Library, a joint-use facility shared with Broward County, with new Sharks required to live on campus in halls including Leo Goodwin Sr. Hall each August ahead of a required orientation.

Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Returning residents move in during an earlier window, Aug. 10-11. Complete all Emergency Forms (Emergency Contact, Missing Persons, and Hurricane Response) 48 hours prior to your assigned check-in time. Request your SharkCard from SharkCard Services a week prior to check-in, and only after you've registered for classes. All residents have the opportunity to choose their preferred move-in date and time through the Housing Portal beginning May 29. Housing applications open in the spring, but you must first submit your enrollment deposit before applying.

- What you'll receive
- At check-in, you'll receive your room key, mailing address assignment, and a Room Assessment Form documenting your room's condition, along with other pertinent information.

Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
