Northern Marianas College, the sole public college and land-grant institution in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, occupies a hillside campus in As Terlaje, Saipan, overlooking the Philippine Sea in a renovated former UN Trust Territory hospital building - the college does not currently offer on-campus housing, so most students commute or live off-campus.
