Fall 2026 Move-In Details
New student move-in is Monday, Aug. 10, 2026: Cobb, Southwest Leoser and Seminary Suites residents check in 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and North Leoser, Northwest Leoser and Wyly residents 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Courtside residents move in by appointment only. Students who cannot make Aug. 10 use the returning student process, Aug. 11 to 16, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Bring a photo ID, since staff cannot check you in without one.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Check in at the NSU Event Center, in the Community Room through the north-side entrance, then an escort vehicle guides you to your residence hall.
- Parking
- Enter the Event Center parking lot and follow the parking attendants. Use one vehicle to unload, with the driver staying while volunteers unload, then park and return. Seminary Suites has no unloading lane, so park in front of the building. Have your license plate number ready if you want a parking pass at check-in.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
