Check the move-in schedule closer to the date for your specific day and time. Only designated special groups (athletics, sorority recruitment, band, Student Disability Services) move in on August 12. The Racer Shuttle runs between residence halls and Stewart Stadium parking on move-in day - bring no more than two helpers if possible.

General move-in runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026 - check the schedule closer to the date for your specific day and time.
Check-in location
Go to your assigned residence hall to check in.
Parking
Park at the football stadium - the Racer Shuttle runs between the stadium lot and residence halls throughout move-in day.
Vehicle restrictions
Once you're done unloading, move your vehicle away from the hall to make room for the next family.

Move-in day tips

  • Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
  • Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
  • Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
  • Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
