Move-In
Fall 2026 Move-In Details
New student move-in is Thursday, Aug. 13 and Friday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students get an assigned move-in time based on their residence hall and floor. Students who miss their time move in over the weekend with returning students, without a dedicated process or volunteers. Volunteers help carry items, and a handcart or dolly makes it easier. Students who need an EagleCard should get one at the EagleCard Office before arriving.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- First-year move-in starts in the overflow parking lot across US 60 from the main campus, where you line up and then move in as space around the halls allows.
- Parking
- Only one vehicle per student may join the move-in line, ideally with one helper plus the student, and one person should stay with the vehicle until it is unloaded. After check-in, move the vehicle to a satellite parking lot and follow the signs. Extra vehicles or people may be asked to park and shuttle to the halls. Students who leave after check-in should not return until after 3:30 p.m., when move-in closures end.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
