Special program groups (URSA, Band, etc.) should confirm their earlier arrival date directly with their program organizer rather than the general schedule. All students under 21 with fewer than 27 transferable credit hours are required to live on campus, with a commuter exception form available for those who qualify. University meal plans begin the day after move-in starts, using your BearPass Student ID.

Move-in day logistics
- Parking
- After unloading, you may park in any of the residence hall lots or in Bear Park North or Bear Park South - during designated times, golf carts are available to transport people from Bear Park and more remote lots to the residence halls.
- What you'll receive
- Instructions provided at check-in for using dining options, which begin the same day as your move-in date - university meal plans start the following day, using your BearPass Student ID.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
