Mayville State University is a public university in the North Dakota University System, located in the small city of Mayville in the Red River Valley. Fall 2025 headcount enrollment was a record 1,215 students. Students can live on campus in three residence halls: Agassiz, Berg and Birkelo. Move-in for the residence halls is Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, starting at 10 a.m. at Agassiz, Berg and Birkelo Halls, with a Family Farewell at 3 p.m. Students arriving earlier, such as fall sports athletes, follow their coach's arrival times or contact the RA on duty for keys.

- Come to Agassiz Hall, in the northwest corner of campus, to check in.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
