Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Move-in runs Wednesday Sept. 2 through Tuesday Sept. 8, 2026 (Sept. 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8). Every resident books a 45-minute appointment, chosen by residence hall or apartment, with selection opening at 10am on July 1, 2, 7, 8 or 9 depending on the building. Appointments can be cancelled up to 24 hours ahead, and a room change means picking a new slot. A confirmation goes to your Louisiana Tech email.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
