First-year move-in is Tuesday, Aug. 25 for Freshman Residence Hall, Cougar Hall and Bartlett Hall. Upperclassman residents (Burch, Rogers, Sozio and Upperclassman Halls) move in Friday, Aug. 28. Before move-in, log in to the Housing Portal and show a green status image, which confirms enrollment, financial and health clearance.

Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Drive-through check-in at the Kean Union campus: enter at the Wilkins Theatre entrance and continue to the Vaughn-Eames lot.
- Parking
- One vehicle per student in the drive-through line. Extra cars unload at the lots by Kean Hall or Hennings Hall. Students arriving alone park in the NAAB lot.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
