Grand View University is a private, Lutheran-affiliated liberal arts university in Des Moines, Iowa, founded in 1896. Full-time students are required to live on campus for three years unless they qualify for an exemption, such as living with a parent or guardian within 30 miles, being 22 or older, or being a veteran, married, or a parent. Housing includes traditional halls, suites and upper-class apartments. New students attend Welcome Weekend on August 21 to 23, 2026, before classes begin August 24.
