Fall 2026 Move-In Details
Move-in is Thursday, Sept. 17 or Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. Arrive during your half-hour time slot; if you did not sign up, one is assigned to you. Pick up a packet with your hall key, Eagle Card if pre-printed, room inventory checklist and directions to your hall. Unload into your hall's staging area, then move your car. Volunteers can watch your belongings while you park.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Start in the tailgating lots behind the football field and follow the move-in maps, not your GPS. After 5:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 18, go directly to your residence hall to pick up your key packet. Early arrivals wait in the lot until keys are ready, and late arrivals are fit in when unloading zones have space.
- Parking
- Free move-in day parking is marked on the move-in map. Park in your hall's designated unloading area only while unloading, then move your car to a permitted or free non-metered street spot. Residence hall parking permits are available for purchase.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
