Fall 2026 Move-In Details
First-year and transfer students move in Friday, Aug. 14 or Saturday, Aug. 15 during a booked time slot. Move-in usually takes 1 to 2 hours, with slots between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Book the slot in the housing portal.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Arrival window
- Aug. 14 or 15, 9 AM to 3 PM, in the time slot you booked in the housing portal.
- Parking
- After unloading, move your vehicle to a designated lot. Temporary family parking is in lots M and E. Overnight student parking is in lots F, G1 and ZZ South. Shuttles run during move-in weekend.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
