Bennington College is a small private liberal arts college in southwestern Vermont, founded in 1932 as a women's college and coeducational since 1969. It sits on a rural campus of about 440 acres and does not offer traditional academic majors. Students live in campus houses, mostly the Colonial houses, the Barnes houses and the newer Woo houses, and must move out for winter break and the Field Work Term unless assigned non-term housing.

Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
