Bemidji State University is a public university in northern Minnesota and part of the Minnesota State system, founded in 1919 as a normal school. It has on-campus housing in six residence halls and apartments, and first-year students are placed in Oak or Tamarack Hall as part of the First Year Residential Experience. Residence hall move-in is Thursday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Settle-in time is 6 to 7 p.m., followed by floor meetings at 7 p.m. Campus carts are limited, so bring your own if none are available, and expect to wait for elevators.
