Fall 2026 Move-In Details
New residential students move in on Friday, Aug. 21, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, at the time assigned by Residence Life. Stay in your car while the student move-in crew unloads it, and your RA is available all day to help. No residence hall has an elevator, and cleaning supplies are not provided. A Matriculation Service and Archway Walk follow on Friday evening.
Check your assignment in the housing portal for your specific date and time.
Move-in day logistics
- Check-in location
- Drive directly to your assigned residence hall to check in at your assigned time. New commuter students check in Friday 4:30 to 5:00 pm at the Student Center Banquet Hall.
- Parking
- After unloading, move your car to a remote parking location shown on the move-in day map. Dumpsters are placed in several residence hall parking lots for boxes and trash.
Move-in day tips
- Arrive during your assigned move-in window - arriving early may mean waiting until your time slot.
- Bring a rolling cart or hand truck - campus carts can run out quickly during busy move-in periods.
- Have a parking backup plan - spaces near residence halls can fill up quickly, so know where you can unload if your preferred area is full.
- Watch the loading-zone time limit - many campuses require you to move your vehicle to longer-term parking after unloading.
